Matt Johnson

Born and raised in a small town in South Texas, Matt Johnson developed a deep appreciation for the land, the outdoors, and the communities that surround them from an early age. Spending much of his childhood hiking, hunting, fishing, and exploring the Texas countryside, Matt built a lifelong connection to the land — a passion that continues today through wildlife photography and outdoor pursuits.

After graduating from Texas A&M University, Matt moved to San Antonio where he began his real estate career in 2003. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to serving his clients at the highest level, he steadily built a successful real estate business spanning land and ranch properties, commercial real estate, and residential homes.

As his career progressed, Matt partnered with two colleagues to launch their own real estate brokerage, giving him hands-on experience across every aspect of the industry — from complex land transactions and development opportunities to commercial investments and residential sales. This diverse background allows Matt to bring a well-rounded, strategic perspective to every client he serves.

In 2025, Matt made the decision to return to College Station to join forces with his longtime best friend in a venture that combined both of their experience and passion for land and ranch real estate. Together, they founded Texas Land and Ranch Sales (TLRS), a brokerage dedicated to representing Texas properties with integrity, expertise, and industry-leading marketing.

Matt is known for his relationship-first approach to real estate, built on honesty, clear communication, and a strong commitment to protecting his clients’ best interests. He believes that every transaction is more than just a deal — it’s a partnership — and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure his clients feel informed, confident, and supported throughout the entire process.
